The golden ratio of 1:6:1 also applies to the face. For example, the distance from the top of the nose to the mid portion of the lips should be 1.6 times the distance from the mid portion of the lips to the bottom of the chin. Having a nose that is too big or a chin that is too small disrupts that ratio.

A chin implant can bring the face more into proportion by making the lower face stronger. A larger chin also makes the nose look smaller. Sometimes only a chin implants is recommended, but , oftentimes, both a rhinoplasty and chin implant go together.
Demal filler can be introduced into thenose by an injection, filling out valleys and accentuating the tip. It mimics a surgical rhinoplasty, although it is not permanent.
