Women from Santa Rosa has Post Weight Loss Surgery to reduce looseness

Procedure Details

This 51 year-old woman from Sonoma County had gastric bypass in 2006. She lost 75 pounds, her weight stabilized and she was left with a significant amount of redundant skin and fat in the midsection of her abdomen. On exam she had significant looseness of her abdominal wall muscles as well as excess skin and fat around her lower abdomen. As with any weight loss patient, there was also looseness of the thighs and arms. At this time, however, she was only concerned with her abdomen. She received a tummy tuck in our Santa Rosa plastic surgery suite. At 4 months after surgery, her photos show a dramatic improvement in her abdominal area and a normal progression for her scar, which will continue to fade. In the future, she could consider a thigh lift (thighplasty) to tighten the skin around her upper thighs.
