Massage after Breast Augmentation
If you've had a beast augmentation, you may have been told to massage your implants. And what that means is actually not like a massage that you would get at a spa, but to move the implants around in the pocket. The implant is soft. And if it's sitting in a pocket with enough room for it to relax, it will continue to feel soft. However, if that scar or capsule around the implant squeezes on the implant, then it feels hard. So when we talk about hardened implants, it's not actually the implant that is hard, it's the squeezed implant that has no give anymore. And that is what feels hard. If you have textured implants, don't massage. We actually want the scar to form to the bumps of the texture around the implant. And of course if you have a shaped implant, you definitely don't want to be massaging the implant. It's got a textured surface but it also could flip upside down. When you massage, you should see both implants move around their pockets like this.
