"Everyone at PSA is absolutely amazing. The girls and Dr. Canales are just wonderful. I recently took my Mother (Spanish-speaking only) for her consultation. Speaking on my mom's behalf and myself, everyone treated us with the upmost respect and made us feel very comfortable. The front girls were super helpful in providing information to us in both languages. All our major concerns and questions were answered very diligently - lots of care!"- T.C. / Yelp / Sep 06, 2019
"I can’t say enough about Dr. Canales and his fabulous staff! From my consultation visit (with the amazing Keri!) to my post op appointment, I have been blown away by the care I received. They allowed me to feel safe and confident in having surgery. I had complete trust in Dr.Canales and his team. As an RN I’ve met countless surgeons, but Dr. Canales stands out amongst them. He is personable, kind and a master at his craft. My breast augmentation results have far exceeded my expectations. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! You all are amazing!"- H.E. / Google / Aug 31, 2019
"Breast Implant Revision - Staff is extremely knowledgeable. I felt comfortable with the facility & staff. Everything was streamlined due to many years in practice. Everything that I signed was given to me in my own personal booklet, which I was able to reference when needed."- Anonymous / RealPatientRatings / Aug 30, 2019

Every woman has a unique vision of what she wants from her tuberous breast correction surgery. That's why Dr. Canales and Dr. Furnas take their time to learn about each woman's specific goals so they understand the look they want to achieve. We then create a customized plan tailored to the woman's anatomy, aesthetic preferences, and special concerns. Ideal candidates are generally in overall good health and are past childbearing and breastfeeding.
The purpose of the surgery is to reshape tuberous breasts, which usually have a narrow base with breast tissue that may appear constricted. The areola and sometimes the nipple is very large, and the area where the breast is attached to the chest wall (the inframammary fold) is generally exceptionally high. A long nipple that protrudes or an inverted nipple that points inward can also be corrected, usually as an isolated procedure under local anesthesia. Tuberous breast correction is typically performed under a light general anesthesia. We will make an internal incision to release the tight breast tissues, making a larger space for an implant, rounding out the lower breast crease, and correcting enlarged and protruding areola and nipples.
What to Expect
Most women can return to their regular routines within 1 – 2 weeks. Some women are ready to return to work in just a few days. Results provide attractively shaped, natural-looking breasts, areolas, and nipples that are beautifully proportioned and the correct size for the individual woman's anatomy.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does tuberous breast correction cost?
The cost of tuberous breast correction will depend on your unique treatment plan. Every woman's body is different, which requires an individual approach. Once Drs. Canales and Furnas have sat down with you to review your condition and concerns, they will create a custom treatment plan and go over your costs.
What about other procedures?
Many women opt to combine a secondary procedure with their tuberous breast correction surgery. Most of the time, nipple correction is included, but a breast lift or breast augmentation can also be a part of your treatment plan if you desire. During your consultation, it's important to talk about all your cosmetic goals so we can create a cosmetic plan that is right for you.
How long do results last?
The results of tuberous breast correction are long-lasting, and many patients only need one correction surgery. However, if a breast augmentation with implants is included, then the implants may need to be replaced at some point to maintain optimal results. Breast implants generally last for 10 – 15 years. It's also important to maintain a healthy diet as weight gain can alter results.
Most woman can return to their usual routine in a few weeks, but we recommend that you refrain from strenuous activity until you are cleared by Dr. Canales or Dr. Furnas.
