Santa Rosa Abdominoplasty

At our practice serving Santa Rosa and Sonoma and Marin County, abdominoplasty can help men and women who have stretched abdominal muscles resulting in excess skin or fat tissue around their midsection.

The Abdominoplasty You Deserve

Dr. Furnas and Dr. Canales

Maintaining a fit, toned body requires a good diet and adequate exercise. However, sometimes even your best efforts won't tighten the skin around the abdomen that has been stretched to the extreme. Our Santa Rosa and Marin County tummy tuck patients can change their physique and improve their body image with this procedure.

Dr. Canales and I have performed hundreds of abdominoplasty procedures. We take a fresh approach to each tummy tuck surgery – knowing that a patient's results should be as unique as they are. Our comprehensive consultations include a discussion of your personal goals as well as a physical assessment to determine the degree of skin and muscle laxity. From there, we can create a treatment plan that works for your body type and your personal preferences.

Dr. Canales and I want to make sure that your experience at Plastic Surgery Associates is nothing short of exceptional. Your comfort, privacy, and peace of mind are our top priorities.

Abdominoplasty at a Glance

Purpose To improve the contour of the abdomen, restore weakened or separated abdominal muscles, and create a firmer abdominal profile.
Procedure: Abdominoplasty is typically performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. Depending on the type of abdominoplasty being performed (extended, traditional, or mini), a horizontal incision may be made across the lower abdomen or around the flanks. Weakened abdominal muscles may be tightened and excess skin, fat, and tissue is removed. Sometimes liposuction for Marin and Sonoma County patients is performed to slim down the love handles at the same time.
Recovery: Most people can return to work in 14 to 28 days.
Results: A narrower waistline, firmer abs and a flatter midsection.
