After having 5 children, this 47 year-old woman had significant looseness around her abdomen that did not tighten up despite exercise.  She was willing to trade the scar of an abdominoplasty for the opportunity to get rid of a lot of tissue around her midsection.  She was at a stable weight and was self-conscious about her abdominal area.  We recommended a full abdominoplasty as well as liposuction of the lovehandle area.  At surgery, she underwent abdominoplasty with tightening of her abdominal muscles, which had been weakened by multiple pregnancies. We also suctioned 1,050 cc of fat from the lovehandle area.  Her postoperative result reveals a much flatter abdominal area with a more pleasing contour.  She had significant improvement in the way her clothes fit and she felt that the tummy tuck was one of the best decisions she ever made.
