BEFORE   AFTER

As a result of her active lifestyle this 29 year-old Santa Rosa woman has a lean and fit frame, but she had always felt her small breasts were out of proportion with her fuller hips and thighs. Even after undergoing liposuction to minimize the size of her thighs, this patient desired a better balance between the look of her upper and lower body. To find out more about how cosmetic surgery could correct this problem she planned a consultation with one of Plastic Surgery Associates' Santa Rosa cosmetic surgeons. After discussing a number of options, she decided on a breast augmentation procedure using saline implants to replace her A cup with a more appropriate-looking C cup.

At our Santa Rosa plastic surgery suite she underwent breast augmentation with smooth, round saline implants filled to 295 cc. Because of this patient's athletic frame and minimal amount of existing breast tissue, her surgeon placed the implant behind the pectoral muscles, through an incision hidden in the inframammary fold. In this approach the surgeon creates the incision close to the breast mound, allowing for optimal visibility throughout the procedure. After the surgeon makes the incision and creates a pocket in which to place the breast implant, the implant is slid upward through the incision and centered behind the nipple.

This patient's new breasts now balance her lean lower half, and her post-operative results show a significantly improved overall appearance. She had thought about enhancing her shape for a long time, and she is happy with the natural looking results of her Napa cosmetic surgery. Her clothes fit better, her bathing suits fit better, and she wished she had gone through with breast augmentation sooner.
